Statistical Analyst/Programmer - Dublin

Following a period of growth, we are now looking for a Graduate Statistical Analyst/Programmer to join our consultancy team. Responsibilities Will Include the Following:
- Development of iTree - proprietary data mining tool in R platform.
- Improving exiting optimization algorithms
- Expanding statistical capabilities of the tool
- Improving GUI
- Accessing and transformation of data for data mining activities.
- The application of data mining algorithms on financial and customer data.
- The evaluation and deployment of data mining models.
- The utilisation of strong analytical skills to provide solutions for both technical and business related issues. associated with the implementation business analytics solutions.
- Provision of periodic presentations of analysis projects to peers and senior management.
Experience and Skills Required for the Role of Statistical Analyst:
- B.Sc. degree or higher, with a specific numerical or programming focus
- Knowledge of R or S-plus essential
- Knowledge of Matlab, Minitab or other programming languages beneficial
- Experience as a statistical analyst would be beneficial but is not a requirement
- Understanding of data mining tools and techniques
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
