Data Management/ETL Manager

Our clients include market-leading banking, insurance, and healthcare companies in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Following a period of exponential growth we are now looking for a Data Management / ETL Manager to join our consultancy team.

Expertise:

• Data Integration skills (at least one of the following)
  • Open Source: Talend, Pentaho Data Integration etc
  • Proprietary: Informatica, SAS Data Integration Studio, IBM Data Stage etc
• Strong querying , data analysis and data flow mapping skills (must)
• Data quality skills - checks, standardisation, house holding etc (understanding)
• Data architecture skills (understanding)
  • data modelling (normalization, referential integrity etc)
  • dimension modelling (dimensions, facts, SCDs etc)
• Database / ETL performance tuning and programming skills
• XML scripting and open source data integration skills (strong plus)

Experience:

• Experience in design, development and deploy of data management processes including data acquisition, data integration, data modelling, data quality etc (using toolsets mentioned above) in a customer / development environment
• Interpretation, preparation and mapping of complex data structures and explaining complex technical information
• Experience in design, development and deploy of data warehouses or relational/analytical/ multidimensional data marts

Requirements:

• Successful candidates will have had at least 5+ years previous experience as Data warehouse/ ETL consultant, Database Developer, SQL Programmer, System Analyst, Software Developer, and/or experience with proprietary or open source data integration tools
• Experience managing programmes of work and teams of specialists
• 2.1 degree or higher, preferably with a numerical focus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
